Gather. Grow. Go...
To the Glory of God.

Here at First Presbyterian Church, we know how important children are and cherish the opportunity to nurture them into faithful and confident young Christians. That is why we offer a wide variety of opportunities for our children to connect with positive role models that can lead them to a happy and healthy life and a strong relationship with Christ.

Wednesday Night LOGOS 5:30-7:30 PM
during the school year

WHAT IS LOGOS? It is a ministry where adults, youth, and children learn to model Christ to each other in everything we do: where everyone is a CHILD OF GOD.

For a few hours each week during the school year, children and youth will have the opportunity to participate in recreation, bible study, music/worship, and the family dinner hour.  Each part is led by different members of the congregation who have been called by God because they love God, love kids, and have gifts to share.  Each evening there is a lot of laughter, learning, and relationship building in the name of God.

LOGOS also provides an opportunity to explore one’s identity in a Christian environment.  Pastors and other congregational leaders can become friends as well as counselors, teachers, elders, and other inspiring members of the church and community.  The LOGOS program is a valuable tool for family involvement and renewal, as parents and other members of the church are drawn into active participation.

All children ages pre-k through 8th grade are welcome to join in on the fun!

Sunday mornings are a time filled with laughter, smiles, and friends in a learning Christian environment at First Presbyterian Church.

Sunday School: 9:45-10:45 AM has a specific biblical theme each month that the children rotate through learning centers to gain a full understanding of.  The centers include computers, art, story telling/theater, and movie.
During our late worships service at 10:55 AM, we have two programs for our younger children to engage in God's Word in an age appropriate way.

The Children's Worship Center for children ages 4-7 years old, and Way of the Child is offered for children ages 8-11 years old.

In the Children's Worship Center, students are read a story from the bible and then given opportunities to retell the story themself using different play mediums of their choice.   Students are taught to think deeper into the story, share their feelings about it with each other, and then rejoice over a snack together.

In Way of the Child, students have centers they rotate through to help create an understanding of the bible and what is going on in our world.

We often have a hard time "graduating" students out of our children's classes because they enjoy them so much!

Contact the church for information and registration, or just come join in on the fun!
